Kitchen Renovation

Guys,

I am finally getting around to posting before and afters of our kitchen renovation! The process took awhile ( months and months) but if I remember right, we were only without a sink for like 10 days, so I’m looking at the bright side 😊Buying this house we knew we needed to gut the entire kitchen to open it up and give it a new layout, it was total 90’s with plant shelves and dinky small uppers. Plus I love the special two-tone paint job on the previous design😉

Chad, the hero behind the project demolished the existing, laid new gorgeous engineered wood floors, built the cabinets in his father/brother’s high-end custom cabinet shop (Aspen Mill), installed and made it fabulous. Throughout all of that process I sat behind my computer designing the kitchen layout in CAD, selecting glass and solid door finishes, picked the color white ( so many options) selected classic brass hardware, hand selected our quartz counter tops and it all started coming together.

Some of my favorite features of the kitchen remodel was adding new over sized pendants over the island, selecting a fire clay farm sink and a pretty new kitchen faucet! My style has evolved a lot through the process, mostly styling, but 2 years later, I am still so in love with our classic white kitchen.

I love symmetry, so I knew I wanted to create that by the hood- glass was a perfect solution to soften up all the cabinetry. Also, with huge vaulted ceilings, we capitalized on that feature and built 10’ cabinets! It is so grand!!!

We filled in the odd little archway into the kitchen and that is where our fridge is now

This space is small! Built in banquette seating was ideal for the space and our young kids. Also it freed up the necessary space needed for the backdoor to function and not have a table in the way.

Adding wood paneling came last. But its one of my favorite pops of color and texture. This wall gave me grief for awhile not knowing what to do. I love how it makes a bold statement of traditional design.
